Research Questions, • How do people perceive success leaders from academic, business , government ? • Are there any sets of common characters of success leaders from those three sectors? • Are there any lists of skills and knowledge that success leader have from those three sectors • What is the appropriate model to develop ABG (Academic-Business-Government) leadership to support Triple Helix model

The benefits of the research • As an early identification of success skills and characters  for individual purposes and organizational /development purposes • Individual purposes  leadership development (what skills and characters need to develop) in one leaders need to move among three sectors • Organizational development Future research  construct model for A – B – G leadership

Research Method • Designed research since 2006  written success story of more than 400 leaders that were and are chosen by more 400 SBM students who took Leadership class at SBM ITB. • Student were asked to choose their “leaders role model” and interviewed them • Structure interviewed were used to gather the data • Success story were structured by “integrated learning leadership framework” direct interview with Why student choose role models Leaders success story What make leader success in leading their organization

The implication • As stated earlier that there is screaming for leadership with integrated capability to face and solve nations’ problematic at the same time to increase GCI of the nation  model for ABG leadership development program accordingly support Triple Helix model • Even though there are many leadership development program for employee and managers at all three sectors, there are only few university has leadership class as a mandatory. In other side there are many leadership programs develop for government or public sector, however it focus more on sociopolitical issues and lack focus on business characters or business skills and knowledge • University may develop leadership program for higher ranking official must cover business character skills and issues as well as being nationalist and socio political issues. • Research findings related to government leader were supported by previous report from the Ashridge Business School who currently develop government leaders development program

  17. Conclusion • ABG Leadership development model may support Triple Helix model • University as main leaders resources may develop and actively offer leadership program that sensitive to nations’ GCI . • Further research are needed to emphasized the specific character – skills and knowledge
