  1. Here’s how to tell if your windows are monsoon-safe or not Be it sliding windows or regular ones, windows are something all of us tend to overlook. These days, since most people just see windows as a functional aspect of their house, very little effort is put into choosing the right kind of windows. If you are not too bothered about the look of the windows, even from a functional perspective, they do however deserve more attention. This is especially true if you live in a humid environment that bears the brunt of heavy rains during the monsoon season. Most people don't realize that the right windows can make a lot of difference and simply learn to put up with what they have. Let's understand this further and explore signs that your window could be letting you down. For starters, one needs to understand that every window design or type is the same. You either stick to the same old window design for years until it gives out, and even then you probably just go with your window manufacturers suggestions if you have a problem. However, problems creep in once the monsoons come around. A surprising amount of people just choose to ignore the warning signs. For instance, water seepage is a major concern for many people. Old school windows were made in a way that left many gaps between the window frames. While they might not be visible to the naked eye, they can let in quite a bit of water during a downpour. This can be easily solved by using the right aluminium windows that can keep the water out. Another important sign that you probably need to upgrade your windows for the rains has to do with signs of corrosion on the outside. City rains contain a number of pollutants and if your windows aren't made of the right material, the rain can start dulling the look from the outside and even cause them to change the texture. Not a lot of people think much about this but as the years go by, it will cause corrosion to the frames and maybe even structural damage. Once again, a good seller will not only help you get the best deal but will also advise you on which window is right considering the weather in your city and other environmental conditions. If you would like to take things into your own hands and address this issue, start by finding a reputed supplier in your area. Take the time to discuss your needs in detail, including your budget, expectations, and issues with current windows. They may even need to visit your home to check out the structure of your windows and should be able to help you narrow down on the best option. While we may already be in the thick of the monsoon season, it is never too late to take charge and upgrade your windows for a better experience. While you are at it, make sure you check out all the latest technologies available in the industry so that you get windows that can stand the test of time and serve you well for years and years to come.
