  10. After the Opening Psalm, the pastor or leader and all those gathered say or sing Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

  11. The Old Testament lesson is read Ezekiel 37:1-10 (NIV) 1  The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2  He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry.

  12. The Old Testament lesson is read Ezekiel 37:1-10 (NIV) 3  He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" I said, "O Sovereign LORD, you alone know." 4  Then he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!

  13. The Old Testament lesson is read Ezekiel 37:1-10 (NIV) 5  This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. 6  I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'"

  14. The Old Testament lesson is read Ezekiel 37:1-10 (NIV) 7  So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8  I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

  15. The Old Testament lesson is read Ezekiel 37:1-10 (NIV) 9  Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.'"

  16. The Old Testament lesson is read Ezekiel 37:1-10 (NIV) 10  So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet--a vast army.

  17. At the end of the reading, the reader says This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

  18. The Epistle is read 1 John 5:4-12 (NIV) 4  for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5  Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

  19. The Epistle is read 1 John 5:4-12 (NIV) 6  This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7  For there are three that testify:

  20. The Epistle is read 1 John 5:4-12 (NIV) 8  the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement. 9  We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.

  21. The Epistle is read 1 John 5:4-12 (NIV) 10  Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.

  22. The Epistle is read 1 John 5:4-12 (NIV) 11  And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12  He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

  23. At the end of the reading, the reader says This is the word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

  24. The pastor or leader then says or sings the Gradual Psalm appointed for the day Psalm 118:22-25 (NIV) 22  The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; 23  the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.

  25. The pastor or leader then says or sings the Gradual Psalm appointed for the day Psalm 118:22-25 (NIV) 24  This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. 25  O LORD, save us; O LORD, grant us success.

  26. After the Gradual Psalm, the pastor or leader and all those gathered say or sing Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
