  1. PADLA Annual Conference and Expo – 11/13/2013 2:15 Room 010 “Wireless Collaboration Technology Comes of Age” Bob Lobascio VP of Sales- IMS Technology Services

  2. The correlation between Wireless technologies and your Collaboration strategy Agenda and Course Objectives What do you see as the correlation between your progress deploying collaboration technologies and wireless technology? We have aggressively implemented wireless networks in our organization and have leveraged those investments to install collaboration systems and seeing real benefits!! We have installed wireless networks and now wish to leverage those investments to deploy effective collaboration. We have implemented wireless networks but have not extended their use for what we feel is effective collaboration

  3. The correlation between Wireless technologies and your Collaboration strategy- Where are you in terms of deploying collaboration technologies into your courses/organizations? We are very satisfied and have aggressively incorporated collaboration technologies into our delivery systems We are in the process of expanding collaboration technology We are not satisfied with our progress in this area and I am actively investigating our options I am in the process of defining “collaboration” for our organization- and I’m kinda of tired of hearing all sales people calling their products “collaboration”

  4. The correlation between Wireless technologies and your Collaboration strategy Agenda and Course Objectives Introductions- The role of the “moderator” Objective- “if I can take away two ideas – and where to find Information to help me ….” Your colleagues ( in this room!!) will be your best sources of information!! Objective NOT- a self contained how –to- guide… Collaborative Systems– perspective on the Collaboration for your distance learning strategy State of the state in Wireless technologies/concepts that can allow your User Community to take full advantage of your Wireless topology Sites and information sources to refer to Wild cards time permitting

  5. The correlation between Wireless technologies and your Collaboration strategy- perspective on recent advances in collaboration systems- • Installed systems - • Construction and cable intensive from cost perspective • Floor core, cabling , service intensive, work best with control systems,

  6. Emerging and Evolving Technologies – How they affect Planning and Effectiveness of Conventional &Distance Learning – November 2012 Where are you in terms of using emerging technologies into your courses Collaboration systems examples-

  7. The correlation between Wireless technologies and your Collaboration strategy- perspective on recent advances in collaboration systems- • Installed systems - • Construction and cable intensive from cost perspective • Floor core, cabling , service intensive, work best with control systems, • “Sharing era”- loved by Architects & Space Planners! • Media Scapetm • Self contained and integrated into furniture • Proprietary and expensive • Hybrid stage- • Barco Click –Sharetm • Device dependent wireless http://www.steelcase.com/en/products/category/integrated/collaborative/media-scape/pages/overview.aspx http://www.barco.com/en/Products-Solutions/Presentation-collaboration/Clickshare-presentation-system/Wireless-presentation-and-collaboration-system.aspx?tab=features

  8. The correlation between Wireless technologies and your Collaboration strategy- perspective on recent advances in collaboration systems- • Software based- with upgrades to capabilities accomplished with Firm-ware downloads • Feature rich and not dependent on hardware or control GUI • Reductions in construction and cable intensive projects • Wide range of systems and costs !!! Wireless Technologies have Changed the Game !!!

  9. The correlation between Wireless technologies and your collaboration strategy What criteria are you considering in selecting Wireless technology for your Collaboration systems? BYOD - Platform agnostic !! Ease of use – GUI intuitively guides users Security – Dynamic “number “ sign on LDAP/ AD integration Feature set- Users Share Displays – multiple view options Web Collaboration- Skype/ Webex/Go-To- Meeting Annotation and file sharing Collaborative document revision Reduced Cost to implement vs. prior generations of options!!

  10. The correlation between Wireless technologies and your Collaboration strategy- perspective on recent advances in collaboration systems- The Game Changer seems to have everything … Wow-Vision Collab8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7TuiEQjt1A

  11. What are your requirements- Criteria?

  12. The correlation between Wireless technologies and your Collaboration Strategy- what about the Price? $1,500 $99 $3,500 $7,000 $4,500

  18. Emerging and Evolving Technologies – How they affect Planning and Effectiveness of Conventional & Distance Learning Agenda and Course Objectives Where are you in terms of using emerging technologies into your courses? I am very satisfied and have incorporated pertinent technologies in my delivery systems I can always learn more but I am satisfied I am concerned and feel that there is more I can and should do to incorporate technologies This is area that is difficult to stay up on and I am not satisfied with where we are now

  19. The correlation between Wireless technologies and your Collaboration strategy Where are you in terms of using emerging technologies into your courses?
