  4. Michael Pollan’s Food Rules 1. Don't eat anything your great grandmother wouldn't recognize as food. 2. Don’t eat anything with more than five ingredients, or ingredients you can't pronounce. 3. Shop on the perimeter of the supermarket. 4. Don't eat anything that won't eventually rot. 5.. "Always leave the table a little hungry.” 6. Enjoy meals with the people you love. 7. Don't buy food where you buy your gasoline.

Katie’s FOOD RULES • When someone offers treats, wait as long as possible to take one • Fill one (colorful) plate – skip the bun and cookie • Eat a combination of foods – carbs, protein, fat • Shop for meals • Never put something into your cart without looking at the label • Order the smallest size possible (or split) • Eat with friends that eat well • Remember your energy balance (In vs. Out)

Marion’s FOOD RULES • Cook at home whenever possible. • Include at least 5 different colors in your dinner: Don’t eat white food. • Only eat deep fried foods at Indian restaurants. • Avoid restaurants where you can cut your steak or chicken breast with a fork. • Don’t finish foods you don’t enjoy. (Pie crusts are fat.) • Don’t eat much meat, but be a good guest.
