  3. PostgreSQL PostgreSQL est un système de gestion de base de données relationnelle et objet (SGBDRO). C'est un outil libre disponible selon les termes d'une licence de type BSD. PostgreSQL est open source, il n'est pas contrôlé par une seule entreprise, mais est fondé sur une communauté mondiale de développeurs et d'entreprises.

  4. Les composantes de PostgreSQL • Dans le cours on utilisera: • PostgreSQL • pgAdmin III • PostgreSQL ets le DBMS. • pgAdmin III est un outil d'administration graphique pour PostgreSQL. C'est le client graphique pour acceder à la base de données installée dans le serveur à SITE.

  5. Votre compte PostgreSQL • Un compte a déjà été crée pour vous. • Username: • i.e. Si abc42@uottawa.ca, alors votre nom d'usager est abc42. • Votre mot de passe est le même que vous utilisez pour vous authentifier sur les ordinateurs du laboratoire à SITE.

  7. Using pgAdmin III at SITE • Allez sur: • Start Menu  Program Files  pgAdmin III 1.6  pgAdmin III • Cliquez sur: • File  Add Server

  8. Server Parameters for SITE Name: Anything you want Host: acadb Port: 5432 Maintenance DB and Username: kbenj067 Password: Your SITE account PWD

  9. Connection réussie! Vous avez accès seulement à votre compte.

  10. pgAdmin III à la maison! • Allez sur: • http://www.pgadmin.org/download/ Choisissez v1.14.1 • Pour Windows: • Télécharger le pgAdmin3-1.14.1.zip

  11. Installation de pgadmin3 Décompresser pgadmin3.msi • Cliquez sur 'next' • Click sur File  Add Server

  12. Server Parameters for Home installation Name: Anything you want Host: web0.site.uottawa.ca Port: 15432 Maintenance DB and Username: Your Username Password: Your SITE account Password
