  2. Dress Code - All delegates should dress neatly and professionally. Advisors will make you change if necessary. Boys: - Dress khakis, dress shirt, and a tie or Suit with tie. - Dress shoes & Belt - Saddle bag/book bag

  3. Dress Code Girls: - Pant or skirt suits, professional dresses, skirts and blouses - Skirts and dresses should be an appropriate, professional length. - Dress shoes that are comfortable! - It’s November, tights would be a good idea too. NO FISHNETS, LOW TOPS OR SHORT SKIRTS - Nice hand bag

  4. Wednesday night is business attire/Campaign night.

  5. Thursday night is regular, casual dress, follow school dress code.

  6. Dress Code Friday night banquet is more Homecoming dress/outfit Saturday morning delegates need to dress casual but no jeans, or athletic wear. We will wear any nice looking Mann shirt Saturday morning.

  7. What to bring Appropriate clothing & jacket – it will be cold! Snacks in case you get hungry. Water bottle/Nalgine to stay hydrated Any Toiletries you will need including band aids for blisters! Appropriate PJ’s. Umbrella/Rain Jacket Cell phone and charger! Bag to carry stuff around in at YIG. Bill Book & Placard Medication has to be on file with school and will be administered by Ms. Reynolds or Mr. Eversole only. Let me know if there are any particular issues.

  8. Early Dismissal Procedure - We go to Columbia together, we leave together. - If you need to pick up your child early, you must write a letter to Mr. Mayfield and get his permission prior to the trip.

  9. Academic Reminder Students are accountable for all material they miss while attending YIG. It’s a good idea to have students ask teachers ahead of time for any work they can do while at YIG. Teachers can expect students to turn in any assignments or take tests missed immediately upon their return.

  10. YIG Code of conduct • 1. Possession of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco • 2. Sex or inappropriate sexual activity • Violence 4. Stealing • Outside hotel after curfew • Possession of a weapon or firearm • 8. Riding in/driving any vehicle during conference except during approved travel and accompanied by advisor or YMCA staff • Any type of disruptive behavior in state buildings • Violation of these rules will result in the delegate being sent home. 1st Degree Offenses 1. Outside assigned room after curfew 2. Male in female room, female in male room, at any time 3. Badge-Switching 4. Non-participation/failure to attend scheduled activities 5. Failure to wear name badge at all times when outside hotel room • 6. Sitting in Blatt or Gressette Building hallways • Failure to respond appropriately to Resource Staff, Advisor, or state employees’ requests or directions • The State Director and Advisor will confer to determine punishment if delegate violates these rules, which include being sent home. 2nd Degree Offenses 1. Disrespectful/inappropriate behavior 2. Horseplay/roughhousing 3. Excessive noise in hotels 3rd Degree Offenses The delegate is given a warning; after second warning, the delegate is sent home.

  11. Failure to follow Code of Conduct: Parent will be contacted directly after incident – this may mean 3am - Parent will be asked to come pick up child from Columbia If parent cannot come to Columbia Mr. Eversole will return student to parent & parent will be asked to compensate Mr. Eversole for gas money. - A referral will also be written and appropriate discipline will ensue.

  12. After 4th period: Students report to computer lab, grab luggage, & carry it to charter bus at back of school. 1:15pm Depart Mann 2:45-3pm Arrive at Clairton Hotel Look @ Detailed agenda printed in child’s YIG booklet Saturday, November 23 2:00 Estimated Arrival Time back to Mann in front of the school. Students will notify you if there is a time change.
