  3. 2006 – 2008: Shortage of personal dosimeters • Various actions to recuperate dosimeters : • Return permanent dosimeter and get temporary dosimeter when needed • Return dosimeter when at home institute • … very limited success • Priority lists in LHC-experimentsUntil further notice, only persons designated by DSO/ RSO receive a personal dosimeter • … tedious, but has essentially capped number of dosimeters to the LHC community

  4. 2009: Purchase of additional dosimeters • January: purchase of 500 + 100 + 100 dosimeters from funds made available by ATLAS, ALICE and LHC-B • Until further notice reserved for these collaborations, but they allowed CERN to temporarily cope with the summer-hictober: • October: purchase of 500 dosimeters from CERN-funds • Plan to continually increase number of useable dosimeters to 6300 from 2010 on • According to information from RSO, sufficient to serve the LHC community. • Abandon priority lists as of 1 November 2009 (trial)
