Grade 7 Social Studies Local Growth • 12 Visual Prompts • Generic prompts that students will be trained on throughout the year (and will be available during assessment). • Visual-specific prompts available to instructor but not visible to student during assessment. • Students will select 4 visuals to describe on their own and answer follow up questions from the instructor. • Administered end of May

Generic Prompt Ice breaker Address the following for all documents: • What is the origin of the document? • What is this document trying to show? • What is the point of view of the illustrator or author? (positive or negative) • What is the time period? • What if any emotion is trying to be expressed? • Is there any additional information related to the document that you can share? • Include any political, economic or social influences.
