  4. What do you feel? • Nervous? • Not confident? • No previous experience? • Goal -> Sella product Sell yourself as a product!!! • Importance: *Appearance (55%) *Tone/Voice/Intonation (38%) *Language(Grammar/Vocabulary)/Content (7%)

YOU ARE WHAT YOU WEAR :D • neatly pressed • Conservative two-piece business suite (solid dark blue or gray is best) • Conservative long-sleeved shirt/blouse (white is best, pastel is next best) • Clean, polished, conservative shoes • Clean and well-groomed hairstyle • Clean, trimmed fingernails • Minimal cologne or perfume • Empty pockets – no noisy coins • No gum, candy or cigarettes

  7. MEN • Necktie should be silk with a conservative pattern • Dark shoes (black lace-ups are best); clean and polished • Dark socks (black is best) • Short hair always fairs best in interviews • No beards – mustaches are acceptable (keep neat and trimmed) • No earrings • No heavy cologne

  8. WOMEN • a suit with a jacket; • Do not wear extremely high-heeled or platform shoes • Do not wear open-toe shoes or mules (they are more casual) • If you wear nail polish (not required), use clear or a conservative color • One set of earrings only • Conservative makeup •  No heavy perfume

  10. DURING AN INTERVIEW ? • Arrive on time. • Try to relax. Be yourself. • Show self-confidence – make eye contact; answer questions in a clear voice. • Remember to listen.

  11. DURING AN INTERVIEW ? • Think before answering questions. Try to make your answers as clear as possible. • Avoid negative body language – crossing your arms, swinging your foot or leg, slouching, covering your mouth while speaking. • When given a chance, ask any questions that you have prepared in advance. You can also follow up on anything that the interviewer tells you during the interview.

  14. Why do you choose our school for college study? • You’re one of the most famous institutes for __________ (management) program. Also, as a student aiming for advanced study, your great amount of qualified teachers with expertise (in the field of __________) attracts me to a great degree. Additionally, international conference are often held here. I’d like to go on my study in a school with global vision. Thus, I can always meet challenges and keep learning more.

  15. I’m proud of myself for being a person with “visions”. I have to admit that I sometimes miss small details, but I am a detail-oriented person who’s willing to make a change to improve myself anytime.

He always shares his experience with me and it’s really wonderful! I hope I can learn more about management and assist with my father’s business someday in two years.

Is that correct? 3. 答不出來: Unable to answer questions • I am not quite sure about the answer now. Can I get back to you tomorrow? • I’m afraid this area is outside my expertise. • If it’s convenient, I’d be glad to do some research on this and report to you by phone or e-mail.
