Assassination • April 4, 1968 • James Earl Ray • Quote on his grave stone “I’m free at last, I’m free at last, Thank God almighty I’m free at last” • Quote from martin, if any of you are around when I have meet my day, I • don’t want a long funeral. And if you get some one to deliver the speech Tell him not to talk too long . Tell him not to mention that I have a noble peace prize. That isn’t important. Id like someone to mention that day that martin Luther King Jr,. tried to give his life serving others. Id like somebody to say that martin Luther King Jr, tried to love some body. I want you to be able to say that day that I did try to feed the hungry. I want you to be able to say that I did try to clothe the naked. I want you to say on that day that I tried to love and served humanity.
