  2. Let's get started!Now it's your turn to do some fact-finding research. Just follow these three steps. 1. Pick a Subject/PersonChoose someone you really want to write about. 2. Ask QuestionsBrainstorm a list of questions about this person. Here are a few samples to help get you started: Where was this person born? In what year? Where did this person grow up? What does/did this person do for a living? Is this person famous? What did/does this person do to become famous? How has this person made an impact on others‘ and your lives/life?

  3. What makes this person special or interesting? What kind of effect did he or she have on the world? other people? What are the adjectives you would most use to describe the person? What examples from their life illustrate those qualities? What events shaped or changed this person's life? Did he or she overcome obstacles? Take risks? Get lucky? Would the world be better or worse if this person hadn't lived? How and why?

  4. Project Using the information you have gathered complete a poster about this person Complete a poster using color pencils and information to honor this person You will have 2 block days The squares should have information that can stand alone

  5. Draw a picture using colored pencils of this person in the middle of the paper. Add information that you have gathered about this person neatly around the picture or beside the picture Include a quote that reminds you of this person Include a life lesson that you have learned from this person List five words that best describe this person If you could tell the World one thing about this person what would it be? Add information about this person to tell us how special they are
