Highlights • Comparatively Less time consumed to launch LRP Application • Beneficial for locations with low bandwidth and network issues. • Notification of patch updates or enhancements done to a Module while user is logged on to LRP. • Compressed Module files (Jar files) downloads faster. • Enhanced progress bar along with status display. Definition of Default and Dynamic Downloader Default Loading LRP Earlier we are using Default Loading of LRP, where through java we download all the required files to run LRP and also download module jar files to which access is given BEFORE LRP application is launched. Application will launch only after the download is complete. This process is time consuming and results in load on the Internet traffic. Dynamic Loading LRP With this enhancement when user will login to LRP application, minimum required files to launch LRP will be downloaded, and the process to download the modules as per assigned modules will take place only after LRP application has started (LRP has launched). Advantage of this enhancement is to reduce the time taken to start LRP and also ensure on the latest version of module to be used by the user. Files related to a module are compressed for faster download when user clicks on the modules. Files get downloaded only for the first time. Remaining times it will check for the latest version.

4. Initial Setup required to Launch LRP under Dynamic Download. Step One: LRP Login LRP Login screen is the same, where Login ID and password is required along with valid – Authorized license file. To be continued…

5. Step Two: Select home folder where basic required files will be stored. • User launching LRP for the first time: Home folder needs to be created in system. Below screen will appear when LRP is launched through the Login screen, click OK to proceed. • Daily LRP users: System will look for folder to be used on local drive. User can use LRP folder updated in C:/ Drive or Create a new folder on local drive which can be used to launch the application. Or Prepared by: ESL PE Team To be continued…

6. Launch Status Screen: Once License authorizationis complete, launch status screen will show the status of download. If user wishes to NOT launch LRP at this stage then download can be cancelled by clicking on CANCEL Button.

7. Types of Patch Updates • Critical Update: Important files which are required to launch a module. When there is a fix done to these files, while the user is logged on to LRP, system will prompt warning message to download the update in order to maintain stability of the Module and enjoy latest functions of those modules as soon as they are updated. • Note: User cannot use the module without downloading the critical update. Also it is Important for LRP application to be restarted in order to maintain Uniformity. • 2. Normal Update: Updates done to a module while the user has logged in to LRP and using that module. In order to save the already entered data and to avoid duplication of re-inputting the data, this type of update is introduced where user can download the update, however system will still allow the user to continue working on the module. • Note: The update will take effect ONLY after LRP has been re-launched or re-started the next time user logs in.
