  5. God Brings True Rest For His People Isaiah 14:4b-6 How the oppressor has ceased, And how fury has ceased! “The LORD has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of rulers which used to strike the peoples in fury with unceasing strokes, which subdued the nations in anger with unrestrained persecution.

  6. The Earth Rejoices Over Babylon’s Fall Isaiah 14:7-8The whole earth is at rest and is quiet; they break forth into shouts of joy. Even the cypress trees rejoice over you, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, ‘Since you were laid low, no tree cutter comes up against us.’ Revelation 11:18 Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and todestroy those who destroy the earth.”

  7. Sheol Is Astonished At The King’s Mortality Isaiah 14:9-11 Sheol from beneath is excited over you to meet you when you come; it arouses for you the spirits of the dead, all the leaders of the earth; it raises all the kings of the nations from their thrones. They will all respond and say to you, ‘Even you have been made weak as we, you have become like us. your pomp and the music of your harps have been brought down to Sheol; maggots are spread out as your bed beneath you and worms are your covering.

  8. Heaven’s Reaction Isaiah 14:12-13 How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, you who have weakened the nations! But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north.

  9. Pride Leads To The Fall Isaiah 14:14-15‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit. Genesis 11:4 NKJV And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for ourselves…

  10. Earth’s Report Isaiah 14:16-18 Those who see you will gaze at you, they will ponder over you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook kingdoms, who made the world like a wilderness and overthrew its cities, who did not allow his prisoners to go home?’ All the kings of the nations lie in glory, each in his own tomb.

  11. Satan’s False Messiah Is Rejected Isaiah 14:19-20 But you have been cast out of your tomb like a rejected branch, clothed with the slain who are pierced with a sword, who go down to the stones of the pit like a trampled corpse. You will not be united with them in burial, because you have ruined your country, you have slain your people. May the offspring of evildoers not be mentioned forever.

  12. Satan’s False Promises Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.” Isaiah 11:1 God’s Branch (Christ) Isaiah 14:19 Satan’s Branch (Antichrist)

  13. Babylon’s “Seed” Trust In Antichrist Revelation13:4 …they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?” 1. False Trinity - Satan, Antichrist, False prophet 2. False “seed promise” (Isaiah 14:20) 3. False resurrection (Rev. 13:3) 4. False Kingdom (Babylon –Rev. 14:8)

  14. Let’s Humble Ourselves Before God! Psalm 37:10-11 Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more; and you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there. But the humble will inherit the land and will delight themselves in abundant prosperity. James 4:10Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

  15. What Does It Look Like? 1. Submit to the Scriptures: (John 12:48; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; James 1:22) 2. Submit to His authorities: (Heb. 13:17; Rom. 13:1; Eph. 5:22-24) 3. Regard one another as more important: (Philippians 2:3-4) 4. Cast your cares on Him: (1 Peter 5:6-7)

  16. Babylon Will Have No Citizens Isaiah 14:21-22 Prepare for his sons a place of slaughter because of the iniquity of their fathers. They must not arise and take possession of the earth and fill the face of the world with cities.” I will rise up against them,” declares the LORD of hosts, “and will cut off from Babylon name and survivors, offspring and posterity,” declares the LORD.

  17. Yahweh’s Taunt Isaiah 14:23I will also make it a possession for the hedgehog and swamps of water, and I will sweep it with the broom of destruction,” declares the LORD of hosts.
