One nation, one team, one CAP Civil Air Patrol responds nationally to emergencies • National Response (not regional or wing) examples: • Over 2,000 search and rescue missions • 56 lives saved to date in FY07 • Wildfires in Florida, Georgia, South Dakota, & Utah • Floods in Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, & South Dakota • ARCHER system used to provide oil spill data for EPA and USGS “Citizens Serving Communities”
