  12. LUTHERAN ‘OLD CHURCH’ The late Rococo to early Classical three-nave church with a steeple was designed by architect Louis Kimnach from Bratislava/Pozsony. 

  13. Roman Catholic church of St ClaireThe Catholic minority population of Szarvas built this late Rococo single-nave church in 1807-12. Its altarpiece is thought to be the work of the Spanish painter Murillo, or one of his students.

  15. LUTHERAN NEW CHURCHFeaturing neo-Gothic and neo-Romanesque details the New Church based on the design of Imre Francsek was built in 1896 in honour of the Millennium of the Hungarian state. The painting of the high altar depicting the crucified Christ is the work of Gusztáv Veress.

  16. Regional Peasant House Museum Preserved in its original form, this 19th-century house is an attractive example of traditional Slovakian architecture. It has a thatched half-hip roof and a stringcourse runs along the plank gable. Wooden columns support the side veranda.

  17. Gyorgy Ruzicskay StudioThe artist's paintings, graphics, unique pictures as well as his aluminium prints, considered a rarity, are displayed in the former studio-house of György Ruzicskay. The ethnographic collection of the master is also displayed here.

  18. Samuel Tessedik MuseumThis museum presents the 6,000 year history of the town and its surroundings, as well as rich ethnographic material. The Tessedik collection and the 858 pieces of artwork of local painter and sculptor, Attila Erdély, are also in its care.
