Recap - Initial Requirements Categories Management Process • Management relates to aspects of managing resources under the purview of the application, in a distributed environment. • Examples: • Users & Identity, • Events, • Services (Monitoring, Logging, Auditing) • Process relates to requirements arising out of a series of operations performed in either a sequential or a parallel manner in completing a business process. • Examples: • Aggregation • Integration • Workflow Application Common Delivery Security • Security relates to aspects of securing a web-service enabled application over the open network (in particular the Internet) • Examples: • Authentication & Authorisation • Non-repudiation • Integrity • Confidentiality • Trust • Delivery covers aspects of conveying, • producing or transferring content to desired destinations in the preferred format or manner. • Examples: • Delivery Channels • Transport Protocols • Supported Formats & Devices

Recap - Categories in FE Specs v1.0 • Management • Areas Covered: Management of Resources, Management of Access to Resources • Rather exhaustive, but always open to more suggestions • Process • Areas Covered: Worklow, Invocation • Need more, especially in area of business process management • Delivery • Areas Covered: 3rd form (transformation of SOAP msgs into preferred format) • The 1st (mapping of inputs/outputs between services) and 2nd (transformation of SOAP into an acceptable native format) forms are not covered • Question – do we need to cover them? • Security • Areas Covered: Protecting User’s Identity, Securing Data Exchange and Safeguarding Resources • Any other new areas to look at?
