RPI – Right to Product Information • The basic objective of the Right to Product Information is to empower the citizens, promote transparency and accountability in the Government and Industry to Consumer connects viz. • To ensure detection of illegal, fake and spurious product inclusions to contain corruption, and make citizen trust the operational system in true sense. • It is pertinent to note that Information is the right of citizen more so, when it pays taxes for the produce that they are entitled to procure.
