Wirelessly access the local network or Internet?

  8. Configure Tenda Wireless Router.

  9. Configure Tenda Wireless Router. • System Status : ផ្នែកនេះគឺដើម្បីជួយអ្នកឱ្យយល់ពីNetwork, Service and System Status។អ្នកអាចចុចប៊ូតុង“Refresh" ដើម្បីទទួលបានការupdated information of the router

  10. Setup Wizard : • សំរាប់ការConfigure internet សំរាប់ការប្រើប្រាស់មានពីប្រភេទ គឺ setup wizard and manual configuration. Internet connection Mood : Static IP, Dynamic IP, PPPOE, L2TP, PPTP.

  11. Advance Setting • Advance Setting : • MAC Address: The device's MAC address as seen on your local network. • IP Address: The device's IP address as seen on your local network(192.168.0.1 by default). • Subnet Mask: It is shown the device's subnet mask here (255.255.255.0 by default) • Advance Setting • LAN Setting • WAN Setting • MAC Address Clone • DNS Seting

  12. LAN Setting

  13. WAN Setting: • PPPoE:Some ISP use PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet) to construct the Internet connections for end users. You can enquire your ISP to see if they use PPPoE. If they do, you can configure it. • Account and Password:Enter them provided by your ISP • Service Name:Enter the service name if provided. • Connect Automatically:Connect automatically to the Internet after booting the system or connection failure. • Connect Manually:Connect to the Internet by the user manually. • Connect on Demand:Re-establish your connection to the Internet after the specific time (Max Idle Time). Zero means your Internet connection at all time. Otherwise, enter the minutes to be elapsed before you want to disconnect the Internet access. • Connect on Fixed Time:Connect to the Internet during the time you fix

  14. MAC(media access control)Address Clone • MAC Address clone:Some Internet service providers require end-user's MAC address to access their network. This feature copies the MAC address of your network device to the router. • MAC Address:The MAC address to be registered with your Internet service provider. • Restore Default MAC:Restore the default hardware MAC address. • Clone MAC:Register your PC's MAC address.

  15. DNS Setting

  16. Basic Setting • In this section you can only configure the wireless parameters such as SSID and Channel. • SSID(service set identifier): the wireless network public name. The SSID is a must to enter • SSID Broadcast: When the wireless client will search out wireless network, they would detect the SSID broadcast around. If one is selected, the Router will broadcast its own SSID to all wireless hosts. • Channel: Select one from 1~13 channels or AutoSelect. As far as possible select the channel which is used less for preventing signal interference. • Extension Channel: It can be used to ensure 11N network frequency.

  17. Security Setting

  18. Security Setting (con) • WEP Key(Wired Equivalent Privacy): either ASCII (5~13 ASCII characters except / , and other illegal characters. ) or Hex legal characters (10~26 Hex characters.) • WPA/WPA2-Personal(Wi-Fi Protected Access): you can enable personal or mix mode, but you must make sure that the wireless client also supports the selected encryption method.

  19. DHCP Server • DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) is to assign an IP address to the computers on the LAN/private network. When you enable the DHCP Server, the DHCP Server will allocate automatically an unused IP address from the IP address pool to the requesting computer in premise of activating “Obtain an IP Address Automatically”. So specifying the starting and ending address of the IP Address pool is needed. The lease time is the length of the IP address lease.

  20. DHCP Server

  21. DHCP server List

  22. Reboot • Rebooting the router is to make the settings configured go into effect or to set the router again if setting failure happens

  23. Client Configuration
