Pros / Advantages • Extremely inexpensive (only $35 vs Apple TV $95.99). • Smooth integration with supported apps. • Easy and fast setup (The setup process takes only few minutes). • Useful accessories. • Supports multiple ChromeCasts on the same network. • People interested in streaming either use an existing device such as Microsoft's Xbox, Nintendo's Wii, Roku, WD TV Live Hub etc. • Supports Netflix, YouTube and Hulu. • Free 3 months of Netflix promotion. • Portable and Travel Easy - can be easily moved around.
Cons / Disadvantages • No local media playback. • Chrome integration is limited. • The beta screen-mirroring feature is not smooth. • Limited to four apps and no support for several major ones, including Amazon Instant, HBO Go, MLB.TV, Spotify, and Rdio. • No dedicated remote. Always needs a smartphone, tablet or chromebook. • Less features than Apple TV and Roku. • Needs additional power adaptor if TV does not have USB. • Very small sized device - can be easily lost.
