Forms match habitats…but why? There must be some evolutionary force (selection) for different habitats…predation on the spiders, or maybe camouflage for their predatory activity (or maybe some other reason)

  1. Forms match habitats…but why? There must be some evolutionary force (selection) for different habitats…predation on the spiders, or maybe camouflage for their predatory activity (or maybe some other reason) But, the question for this paper is where did the “raw material come from” for selection to work on? Presumably there are these niches on all the islands, but where the organisms come from to fit into these niches?!   7. In this case, the evolutionary pattern is a not a match with the habitat…in fact , the phylogeny alone tells us nothing about the habitat selection… How is this different?
