ปะการัง ( Coral ). ปะการัง ( Coral ) เมื่ออยู่รวมกันในบริเวณหนึ่งเราเรียกว่าแนวปะการัง ( Reef ) ก็ เหมือนกับต้นไม้แหล่ะครับ เมื่ออยู่ต้นเดียวเราเรียกต้นไม้ เมื่อมีอยู่รวมกันมากๆ เราเรียกว่า ป่าดังนั้น แนวปะการังก็เปรียบเสมือนเป็นป่าแห่งท้องทะเล  แนวปะการังในท้องทะเลไทยมีหลายแบบคือ.

  2. ปะการัง ( Coral ) เมื่ออยู่รวมกันในบริเวณหนึ่งเราเรียกว่าแนวปะการัง ( Reef )ก็เหมือนกับต้นไม้แหล่ะครับ เมื่ออยู่ต้นเดียวเราเรียกต้นไม้ เมื่อมีอยู่รวมกันมากๆ เราเรียกว่าป่าดังนั้นแนวปะการังก็เปรียบเสมือนเป็นป่าแห่งท้องทะเล  แนวปะการังในท้องทะเลไทยมีหลายแบบคือ

  3. 1. แนวปะการังริมฝั่ง ( fringing reef )

  4. 2. กลุ่มปะการังบนพื้นทราย ( patch reef )

  5. 3. กลุ่มปะการังบนโขดหิน ( coral community on rocky coast)

  6. 4. แหล่งกัลปังหา และปะการังอ่อน ( sea fan and soft coral community )

  7. 5. ปะการังเขากวาง  Staghorn coral, Table coral( Acropora spp. ) พบประมาณ 40 ชนิด

  8. 6. ปะการังผิวเกล็ดน้ำแข็ง  Fine spined coral ( Montipora spp. )

  9. 7. ปะการังโขด หรือประการังนิ้วมือ  Mountain coral, Finger coral ( Porites spp. )

  10. 8. ปะการังผิวยู่ยี่ Wrinkle coral ( Synaraearus )

  11. 9. ปะการังดอกไม้ทะเล Anemone-like coral  ( Goniopora spp. )
