  • 1. Levels

  • "A1" equals Novice level; but don’t think it’s NH.

  • "A2" is definitely Intermediate Low

  • I like their using "plus" to mark performance differences.

    • Compare the descriptors in CEF and ACTFL scales

    • Incorporate feedback from Bologna

    • Briefly discuss how this decision is reflected in your program (bring syllabi of all your pre-proficiency courses

Adding & closing Sections

  • Current practices:

  • Close/add sections at the end of first week of classes

  • Class size:

    • Larger programs:

      • Min: 5 students ;

      • Max 12 students (1st year) – 10 students (2nd year)

    • Smaller programs:

      • Min: 4 students ;

      • Max 12 students (1st year) – 10 students (2nd year)

HOW TO…

  • Best Practices and Troubleshooting Guide for:

    • Using the projector

    • Laptop Performance

    • Removing WR back drive or Flash-drive

    • Using the laptop docking station

      • The docking station is a device into which you can plug your laptop in order to gain extra functionality
