  5. Ever struggle to find just the right activity or drill to teach a challenging skill? Wondering how to make your lessons more exciting & fun? Need a stimulus to keep the attention of your students? Tired/bored with your bag of tricks? Want something new to spark your interest? We will look at innovative ways to utilize equipment; strategize effective ways to incorporate drills & skills; and share tips, tidbits, tools, and tricks of the trade.

  6. We are excited to bring you a fabulous aquatics session which works for all situations, all levels of students, and all professional experience.

  8. These and other mysteries will be uncovered during this session.This session is designed to specifically meet the needs of the National Standards as presented by NASPE. This session will be delivered both on land and in a pool setting. Participants will be actively engage during this session, learning and experiencing methods for developing tools, drills, activities, and effective utilization of equipment to enhance your aquatics program, regardless of your circumstances. We will explore instructional ideas while focusing on promoting enjoyable and valuable experiences, student success, and relevant curriculum/lessons. The goal is for participants to attain information they may immediately incorporate into their curriculum and lessons upon returning to their place of employment.This session meets Standard 1 by using various apparatus to assist in learning a new motor skill and allowing students to demonstrate independent learning movement skills. These activities meet Standard 3 & 4 by giving students an opportunity to participate regularly in activities that improves and maintains their fitness level. In addition, the use of equipment teaches responsible personal behavior in regards to respect.This session meets the Council for Aquatic Professionals (CAP) expectations for professionalism in the discipline by updating colleagues with new strategies and techniques used in the aquatics field; allowing all participants to learn and share with one another, thus promoting excellence in instruction; and offers a forum for discussing new and innovative ideas which are practical and effective. This session may be used as professional development and training.All the instructional materials used in this session have been written by master teachers in aquatics, who provide comprehensive information for professionals in the field.This session will be well-worth the time and effort participants will take to attend along with offering opportunities to be fully engaged in stimulating activities.Come join the fun!
