  2. Theme Meaning • Digital Security (self-protection): In any world, there are people who steal, deface, or disrupt other people. The same is true for the digital community. It is not enough to trust other members in the digital community for our own safety. In our own homes, we put locks on our doors and fire alarms in our houses to provide some level of protection. The same must be true for the digital security. We need to have virus and hacker protection, backups of data like personal information, and surge control of our equipment. As responsible digital citizens, we must protect our information from outside forces that might cause disruption and or harm.

  3. Ways To Improve • You can improve by adding firewalls, also by adding cryptographic help. And you can add security codes, and tough log-ins. Also, you can back up everything, and you need to keep your personal files safe.

  4. Consequences • You can have money withdrawled from the bank from hackers finding out your number. Also, your personal information can be taken. That is called Identity Theft. For example medical records and personal information can be stolen from you, your family, and your friends. And, then viruses and hackers can do damage to your hardware.
