Policy advice to your protégé... • Consider FRTO exam pass before first solo • Timetable L6PD or FLE - immediately following written exams • Consider operator policy ELP before solo X/C • Consider a pre-requisite ELP eg IELTS 5.5

LANGUAGE PLOBLEM • I had a bunch of Canadian dollars I needed to exchange, so I went to the currency exchange window at the local bank in Vancouver. • Short line. Just one lady in front of me . . a little old Asian lady who was trying to exchange yen for dollars and she was more than a little irritated. • She asked the teller,'Why it change?? Yesterday, I get two hunat dolla fo yen. Today I get hunat eighty?? Why it change? Why it change?‘ • The teller looked at the old lady, shrugged his shoulders and said, 'Fluctuations.‘ • The Asian lady angrily replied, 'Fluc you white people, too!'
