  7. Department of Sport, Arts and CultureNorthern Cape Archives Repository • Project Consultants appointed through Dept Roads, Transport and Public Works. • Phase one (design phase) have been completed. • Construction tender not yet awarded due to challenges with site identification.

  8. Department of Sport, Arts and CultureNorthern Cape Community Libraries • Three libraries to be constructed in Barkly West, Richmond, and Hanover. • Construction tender awarded through Department of Roads, Transport and Public Works in February 2009 and construction commenced in March 2009. • While there has been delays in construction it is reported that the three community libraries will be completed before year-end.

Department of Sport, Arts and CultureNorthern Cape SRSA MPP Conditional Grants Monitoring and Evaluation • Management team established comprising of assistant manager for each of the SRSA grants (Siyadlala, School Sport and Legacy). • Support staff includes grant financial officer, programme facilitator and three administrators to monitor implementation of programmes and grant expenditure.
