  5. Activity Break into groups of eight people One zip lock bag per group Spread out throughout the room in your group Each person should have a star Each group will need to have at least one pink, one blue, one yellow, and one green star

  9. Best Friend Not as fortunate “I can’t help you" Fold back the corner marked best friend

  10. Best Friend You LOST your best friend Tear off that corner of your star

  11. Family Member You are VERY lucky! They are supportive You get to keep this leg of your star.

  12. Family Member “I don’t want to get involved” Fold back the family corner of your star

  13. Family Member “It’s your fault” Rip off that corner of your star and toss it on the table

  14. Community “You can count on us” You get to keep this leg of your star.

  15. Community REJECTED!!! Fold back that portion of your star

  24. Discussion Questions How did this activity make people feel? For those of you who lost more than one point, did losing each point feel the same? For the green stars, what do you think the effects are on their lives? How did people feel about the activity and about their star before I read the first situation? After the last situation? What are the positives aspects for all the stars?
