  3. Who? • The camp is for kids who haveautism. • It is sponsored by • Easter Seals Timber Pointe Outdoor Center

  4. How old do you have to be? • Circle of Friends is for kids ages 7-13

  5. How long do they stay? • They stay for one week and they stay • nights as it is an overnight camp

  6. What is autism? • Autism is a condition in the mind. It first appears during • early childhood andmakes it harder for • kids to form social relationships with people. • It effects one in every 68children and there is no cure.

  7. Description of camp • This camp is designed for kids with autism to meet • other people like them. • They get to do fun things and make friends, • which is not easy for kids with autism.

  8. What activities are offered? • The kids get to go on hikes through the woods, swim in a pool, boat, kayak, ride horses, socialize with the llamas, goats and lamb, zip-line, tackle the challenge course and high ropes, create with arts and crafts, participate in target sports, and learn how to play rhythm instruments. All of these activities help kids develop new physical, mental, emotional, and social skills; all of which help them make new friends.

  9. How will our donation be used? • Money donated without a specific designation would go to new supplies like kayaks, sports equipment, instruments, and various other program supplies.

  10. Why did I choose this camp? • I chose this camp because a lot of kids in the world have autism and it is hard for them to make friends. • This camp helps do that and I think that is just wonderful.
