Histroy of Web • Tim Berners-Lee, a British scientist, invented the World Wide Web (WWW) in 1989, while working at CERN. • The Web was originally conceived and developed to meet the demand for automated information-sharing between scientists in universities and institutes around the world. • By October of 1990, Tim had written the three fundamental technologies that remain the foundation of today’s web i.e HTML,URI or URL, HTTP. • By the end of 1990, the first web page was served on the open internet, and in 1991, people outside of CERN were invited to join this new web community.
