  1. 4 Components of The Radiator & Their Possible Complications ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A radiator is an essential component of the cooling system of any vehicle. It helps the engine to control the heat. The radiator eliminates the excess heat from the engine and supports the cooling system. Also, it needs maintenance from time to time so that it can keep working efficiently. Like any part of the vehicle, components of the radiator may get damaged and require replacement. In such a case, you can contact a reliable radiator manufacturer in India.

  2. But how would you know which component of the radiator is damaged? Henceforth, let’s understand the components of the radiator and the problems they may face. Radiator Core Tubes The radiator tube has two components. The coolant tubes are inside the core and the fins on the outside. The first step to cooling the engine is passing the coolant through the tube. The design of the tube depends on the radiator you choose. It can either be produced from aluminium or brass-copper. The problem the tube may face is internal corrosion or external punctures. Cooling Fins The work of cooling fins is to diffuse the heat away. When it comes to cooling fins, they have little flexibility. They provide excess space for coolant to release the heat. If the cooling fin gets damaged, the radiator's efficiency in cooling down the engine decreases. Although a few damaged fins may not impact much, a large number of damaged fins may demand repairs. You may consider repairing the cooling fins without any delay. Plastic Header Tanks Generally, new vehicles have many integrated plastic components, including the tank. The plastic may crack because of heating, which may lead to coolant leaks. You need to permanently repair the tanks, which often requires heat fusion techniques. This method must make the tanks as strong as the original ones. If you need more durability, you may remove the plastic and replace it with metal ones. Inlet and Outlet Plumbing Other components of a radiator are inlet and outlet plumbing. These are two distinct components. Generally, these are produced from plastic. Both parts are durable and resist heat. However, these can get damaged the same as plastic header tanks. Plastic may crack over time which leads to leaks.

  3. The damaged inlet can be repaired the same as plastic header tanks. If it is not damaged completely, you can replace the plumbing. Otherwise, you may have to use heat fusion welding to fix the leak. To conclude, the radiator is a vital part of the vehicle's engine. You can drive vehicles without a radiator, however, for not long. It can be risky. The radiator is designed to control the engine’s temperature and keep it specified by the industrial radiator manufacturer in India. If the radiator of your vehicle is not keeping the specified temperature, the reason is any damaged component. Therefore, understand the components and possible complications properly so that you can identify the problem.
