  4. TEAM LEADER QUALIFICATIONS FULL-TIMEPURDUE UNIVERSITY STUDENT MUST BE A PURDUE STUDENT ENROLLED IN CLASSES ON THE WEST LAFAYETTE CAMPUS FOR BOTHTHE 2014 SPRING AND FALL SEMESTERS A MINIMUM CUMULATIVE GPA OF 2.5 GOODDISCIPLINARY AND ACADEMIC STANDING

  5. TEAM LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES Be aPOSITIVErole model and MENTORto Purdue’s new students AttendALLBGR related events Live in your permanent campus housing for the ENTIREweek of BGR COMMUNICATEeffectively with BGR staff

Team leader TIME COMMITMENT SPRING 2014 • One Required Retreat (March 30th or April 6th ) • Three Required Trainings • Monthly Team Socials FALL 2014 • Return August 13th, 2014 • Internships/Jobs still available for summer • Team Leaders will be living in their permanent housing for the entire duration of BGR. AND BEYOND!!

Star Ambassador A NEW OPPORTUNITY • STAR Ambassadors aid the Office of Student Success with the Summer, Transition, Advising, and Registration program. • Job specifics include: • - Must be a 2014 Supervisor or Team Leader • - Be available June 16th– July 11th in its entirety • - Must be living in/around West Lafayette and provide your own transportation • - May take either morning OR afternoon classes, not both • Be available for two trainings, one in April and one right before the beginning • of STAR BENEFITS • - Hourly pay rate of $7.25 • - Lunch is provided

BGRi Our new character • BGR and BGRi (Boiler Gold Rush international) have merged together to create a better transition from BGRi to BGR and a more inclusive environment for both domestic and international students Special Duties: • Return to Purdue August 9th, 2014 and be moved in by 4 p.m. • Lead and mentor international students through the weeks of BGRi and BGR • Help acclimate new international students to Purdue’s Culture and campus • Facilitating breakout sessions between both international and domestic students

  9. SELECTION PROCESS ONLINE APPLICATION GROUP INTERVIEW PUBLIC INFORMATION

  10. ONLINE APPLICATION www.purdue.edu/apps/studentsuccess/bgr/teamleader Applications will be availablestartingat 11:59 pm on Thursday, January 30th and due by February 7that 11:59pm . The essay questions can be found online—type the essay in a word document firstand then copy and pasteit onto the online application. Remember to SAVE after editing each page.

  11. ONLINE APPLICATION • www.purdue.edu/apps/studentsuccess/bgr/teamleader Have your planner available because you will be signing up for your interview time and availability for retreat dates. You cannotreschedule group interview times! Print and bring the confirmation slip containing the time and location of interview.

  12. INTERVIEW PROCESS INTERVIEW TIME • 2 Hours • Arrive 15 minutes early • Bring confirmation sheet COMPONENTS • Group interview with three different activities • Ten possible interview times (first come, first serve!) DRESS Business Casual(no jeans or skirts)
