Relational nature of persons Human person is and should be “the principle, subject, and object of every society All people have the right and duty to participate in society/societies Larger societies should support the participation of individuals and lower level communities without taking over functions these smaller units can do for themselves – principle of Subsidiarity Common good: 1) respect the rights of every person 2) promote the social well being of various social groups Solidarity: social virtue of charity and friendship for those who are “overlooked” by society e.g.?

The Trinity • Perichoeresis – Greek word that means “dancing around” • Refer to relationship within the Trinity • God-unknowable; Jesus- God for us; the Holy Spirit-the life of God within us • The Paschal Mystery • Baptism • Theological virtues of Faith, Hope and Love issue from this dynamic relationship • The family as a community of faith, hope and love model the Trinity-described as the domestic church
