  2. Sturgeon belongs to the Acipenseridae family and this is late-maturing fish with a long life. There are some species that grow large 7- 12ft in length. Several species are harvested for their Roe(fully ripe internal egg).

  3. Few Types of Sturgeon - Beluga - Greater Sturgeon - American   - Paddlefish - Greater Sturgeon

  4. Marine Conservation Project Beluga is also known as European sturgeon, mostly found in the black sea and Caspian. Beluga lives near about 118 years. The beluga feeds on fish.

  5. The American paddlefish is closely related to sturgeons. They are the only living species in the paddlefish family. 

  6. Starry sturgeon is known as stellate sturgeon. It is critically endangered by IUCN. Diamond Sturgeon is a European species and it is only found in the Caspian Sea.
