  2. Objectives • Understand shartand jawaab al-shart • Differentiate betweenadwaat al-shart al-Jaazimah and Ghayr al-Jaazimah • Identify what the different adawaat mean and how they are used in sentences

  3. If you don’t pay attention... Conditional sentences are composed of two clauses, the condition and the result: if <condition> then <result> In traditional Arabic grammar these two clauses are known as sharṭشرط and jawābsharṭجواب شرط or جزاء

  4. أيْنَمَا تَكُونُوا يُدْرِكْكُمُ الْمَوْتُ شرط جواب الشرط أداة الشرط

  5. There are two types of أدوات الشرط • أدوات الشرط الجازمة • أدوات الشرط غير الجازمة

  6. أدوات الشرط الجازمة .1 أدوات الشرط الجازمة تجزم فعلين : أولهما فعل الشرط وثانيهما جزاء الشرط و جوابه

  7. و هي: • إن : للربط • متى و أيان: للزمان • كيفما: للحال • من: للعاقل • أين و أينما و حيثما: للمكان • أي: لما تضاف إليه • ما و مهما: لغير العاقل

  8. الأمثلة إِنْتَنْصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنْصُرْكُمْ منيرد الله به خيرا يفقهْه في الدين وَمَاتَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللَّهُ

  9. أيكتاب تقرأْ أقرأ متىتأتنا تجدْ خيرا مهماتأته من برهان، يخالفْك

  10. 2. أدوات الشرط غير الجازمة لا تجزم لو: تفيد امتناع الجواب لامتناع الشرط لولا، و لوما: تفيدان امتناع الجواب لوجود الشرط لما: تفيد الزمان الماضي إذا: للزمان المستقبل كلما: تفيد التكرار

  11. لو: تفيد امتناع الجواب لامتناع الشرط لوكنت متخذا خليلا لاتخذت أبا بكر خليلا

  12. لولا، و لوما: تفيدان امتناع الجواب لوجود الشرط لولاأن أشق على امتي لأمرتهم بالسواك عند كل صلاة

  13. لما: تفيد الزمان الماضي لماعرج بي رأيت ادريس في السماء الرابعة

  14. إذا: للزمان المستقبل إِذَاجَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ ﴿1﴾ وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا ﴿2﴾ فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًا ﴿3﴾

  15. كلما: تفيد التكرار كُلَّمَاأَوْقَدُوا نَارًا لِلْحَرْبِ أَطْفَأَهَا اللَّهُ Every time they kindled the fire of war [against you], Allah extinguished it.
