  8. O.J. Simpson Trial June 12, 1994 Murder of O.J. Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole and her friend, Ronald Goldman. October 3, 1995 O.J. acquitted for the murders. February 4, 1997 O.J. found guilty in a civil court.

October 7, 2001 War in Afghanistan starts, marking the first major offensive in the War on Terror. March 20, 2003 Official start of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Allied Forces took most of Baghdad by April 10th.
