  9. A Way Forward

  10. Seeking after holiness - a deep and consuming desire to be holy • Surrender of out lives - a humble submission and surrender to the one who will make us holy • Acceptance in faith that God has blessed us – in other words, a celebration of the Holy Spirit in our lives to make us holy

  11. O To Be Like Thee Verse 1 O to be like Thee! blessed Redeemer, This is my constant longing and prayer, Gladly I'll forfeit all of earth's treasures, Jesus, your perfect likeness to wear. Chorus O to be like Thee! O to be like Thee, Blessed Redeemer, pure as you are! Come in your sweetness, come in your fullness; Stamp your own image deep on my heart.

  12. O To Be Like Thee Verse 2 O to be like Thee! full of compassion, Loving, forgiving, tender and kind, Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting, Seeking the wandering sinner to find. Chorus O to be like Thee! O to be like Thee, Blessed Redeemer, pure as you are! Come in your sweetness, come in your fullness; Stamp your own image deep on my heart.

  13. O To Be Like Thee Verse 3 O to be like Thee! lowly in spirit, Holy and harmless, patient and brave; Meekly enduring cruel reproaches, Willing to suffer, others to save. Chorus O to be like Thee! O to be like Thee, Blessed Redeemer, pure as you are! Come in your sweetness, come in your fullness; Stamp your own image deep on my heart.

  14. O To Be Like Thee Verse 4 O to be like Thee! while I am pleading, Pour out your Spirit, fill with your love; Make me a temple meet for your dwelling, Fit me for life and Heaven above. Chorus O to be like Thee! O to be like Thee, Blessed Redeemer, pure as you are! Come in your sweetness, come in your fullness; Stamp your own image deep on my heart.

  15. Firstly comes our part – a deep and consuming desire to be holy and an active seeking after holiness. Our absolute desire to be like Christ

  16. Secondly, the surrender of out lives - a humble submission and surrender to the one who will make us holy. Our submission to the Holy Spirit

  17. Philippians 2:5-8 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus Who being the very nature of God did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking on the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross.

  18. Thirdly, Acceptance in faith that God has blessed us –a celebration of the Holy Spirit in our lives to make us holy. Its is God’s work and this alone is the source of our joy.

  19. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.

  20. DiscussWhat does this mean for you personally: Actively seeking after and desiring holinessAt the same time, passively submitting to the will of GodAnd accepting the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, in the way that he chooses to express
