  1. Gleanings from the Sabbath Year Where do we go from here?

  2. The Law Leviticus 25:1-7 The Lord said to Moses on Mount Sinai, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them. ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath to the Lord. For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops. But in the seventh year the land is to have a Sabbath of rest, a Sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards. Do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. The land is to have a year of rest. Whatever the land yields during the Sabbath year will be food for you – for yourself, your manservant and maidservant, and the hired worker and temporary resident who live among you, as well as for your livestock and the wild animals in your land. Whatever the land produces may be eaten.’”

  3. The Law Exodus 23:10-11 “For six years you are to sow your fields and harvest the crops, but during the seventh year let the land lie unplowed and unused. Then the poor among your people may get food from it, and the wild animals may eat what they leave. Do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.” Deuteronomy 15:1-18 The Cancelling of Debts and the Freeing of Slaves

  4. The Comparison The “Fields are the Lords. It is His provision to sustain life for people, animals and all other living things…. God’s plan, to accomplish His purpose, is to engage His redeemed people in His worldwide mission of mercy. Who are His redeemed people? US The Church

  5. The Great Commission “All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I can with you always, to the very end of the age.” The Great Omission

  6. A Simple Truth “Friends, the main thing is to keep the main thing, the main thing. And if you don’t know what the main thing is, you may find after years that you’ve been majoring on minors and minoring on majors.” Don Richardson Author of Peace Child

  7. A Great Commission Christian Believers in Jesus Christ who are aware of the implications of Christ’s Great Commission, who have accepted its personal challenge in their lives and ministries, and who are seeing to influence the Body of Christ to implement it.

  8. Where are the Radicals? “What is the deal with Christian colleges, anyway? Shouldn’t they be graduating students who are revolutionary, anti-institutional, anti-cultural extremists? Isn’t anyone else upset that most of our Christian colleges are graduating compliant, materialistic, irrelevant students who don’t have a radical bone in their bodies? Who will push the envelope in the generations to come?” Mike Yaconelli Founder Youth Specialties Limited.

  9. The Pearson Passage Sew for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord until He comes and showers righteousness on you.” Hosea 10:12
