  1. Occupation Matching Report GWL30 – U3A2A2 KaiteRychliski

  2. Summary of Quiz Abilities Occupations Civil Engineering Technologists Geological and Mineral Technologists Land Surveyors Mechanical Engineering Technologists Occupational Therapists Optometrists Physiotherapists Agricultural Representatives, consultants and specialists. • The quiz ranked Spatial Perception and General Learning Ability tied for first, Numerical and Verbal Ability tied for second and Finger Dexterity for Third. The other abilities followed.

  3. Reflection on Results Some of the results of the essential skills search were a surprise to me, while others were expected. I expected general learning ability and verbal ability to be at the top, as I learn quickly and pick up on concepts quick and can articulate myself well when speaking. I didn’t really think of finger dexterity as a skill, but I am good at drawing and am working on my Gr.9 Piano so it makes sense. I also didn’t think that numerical ability would be a strength, however I have never had a problem with math, and do the financial records at my work when orders come in and when I open and close the store. I was most surprised at some of the occupations. I am not interested in being a civil engineering technologistor mechanical engineering technologist. I do not think I would be good at those jobs. I like spending my time outside, being active and am interested in the environment so I thought the three jobs that came up related to the environment were interested, however, I don’t think I could make a career out of them.

  4. Occupationsof Interest The three occupations I would be interested in that came up on the quiz would be occupational therapist, optometrist, and physiotherapist. These would be interesting to me because you have contact with people, and get to see the positive results of your job. As an occupational therapist or physiotherapist you be active most of the day.

  5. Other Careers I thought an art/music therapist might be on the list because of my verbal skills. I would like this job because I am passionate about both art and music and would like to try to improve the life of others, even if it is just in a small way.

  6. Conclusion I think this quiz gave me some interesting results. Some of the occupations were ones that I would consider while others were ones that I would not consider. I think this quiz is good to show you where your strengths are, however, I don’t think that your strengths should be the only thing that you should consider when finding a career path. I think that you should be interested and passionate in your career, and that what you are best at isn’t always what is best for you.
