  2. Process Background • The Keralove Keratin Treatment is currently being applied at Alejandro’s Salon and Spa. • Currently, it takes on average about 3 hours to complete depending on the length of the hair. • Keralove is a hair treatment to be applied by professionals that not only gives the hair a straighter texture but also, restores its natural properties. • The founders are proud of this product because it does not contain deadly chemicals and it’s unique easy 3 step process attracts many hair stylists and customers.

  3. Problem Statement • Even though the Keralove Keratin Treatment is an easy 3 step process, it can take about 3 hours to complete. In return, the hair salon can only book 2 appointments per day which limits greatly the amount of revenue for this highly demanding application. Customers are also becoming dissatisfied and looking for other hair salons.

  4. Project Goal • With a DMAIC procedure, the goal is to increase the capacity of booked appointments per day. • Benefits: • Customers save time due to shorter process • Salon is able to schedule more appointment in a day • Customer satisfaction improved.
