  2. Satellite-based data sets to be generated and delivered within EURO4M • Surface Solar Radiation • Cloud Fraction • Surface Albedo • Precipitation • Integrated Water Vapor All data sets are provided as monthly means in netcdf-format for the European Domain:20W – 40E, 30N – 75N

  3. Surface Solar Radiation • a) Global Radiation (Irradiance) • Based on Meteosat • 1983 – 2010 • 0.05 deg spatial resolution • Accuracy better than 10 W/m2 • Homogeneous after 1995 • Applications • Climate Monitoring • Solar Energy/Agricultural Applications • Reanalysis evaluation
