Producing and writing new scripts for television programs is the responsibility of a writer/producer.

It’s best not to do that. It’s better to work with someone who has a sales route that will bring back the investment if you fail to guarantee (check that word up, it doesn’t mean “hope that”) that you have one. Coproduction provides first-timers with a safety net, mentorship, and an introduction to the business side of filmmaking.
