Prime location (norht of southamerica) to acces american and caribean markets. Venezuela: a reliable oil and gas supplier. Government promotes private sector participation including mixed companies with PDVSA in oil E&P (49%) , natural gas (100%), petrochemical, and heavy crude. Downstream is open also 100% to private investors.

LINEAMIENTOS DE PARTICIPACION NACIONAL • Los “Lineamientos para la participación del capital nacional en proyectos gasíferos” contienen las medidas necesarias para contribuir a la formación y participación de capital nacional a través de la incorporación de obras, bienes y servicios de origen nacional. Son parte integral de las Licencias. • COSPAN-GAS : Comité de Seguimiento de la Participacion Nacional y la aplicación de los lineamientos con el propósito de maximizar el Contenido Nacional y lograr el mayor Valor Agregado. • Creación del Fondo para el Desarrollo del Sector Privado de los Hidrocarburos (FPDSPH), para apoyar financieramente el desarrollo del sector petrolero privado nacional.

ASOCIACIONES ESTRATEGICAS Las alianzas estratégicas entre empresas foráneas y venezolanas representarían una importante sinergia, bajo un marco de referencia de ganar-ganar, sumando las experiencias y fortalezas de cada parte. En 5 a 10 años aspiramos transformar el parque industrial instalado en Venezuela durante decadas para cubrir la demanda de nuevas fronteras tecnologicas como son el Gas Costa Afuera y la Faja del Orinoco.
