  2. Qualifications That Admit Worshiper to Presence of God • Abide & Tabernacle suggest something temporary • “Who is fit to be a guest in Your house?” • Dwell & Holy Hill suggest permanence • “Who shall be fit to stay in Your house?”

  3. Who Is A Citizen Of Zion? • He Whose Character Is True – Psalm 15:2 • He who walks uprightly – he is pure & upright – Psalm 24:3,4; 1 John 3:3 • He does not bring blame & reproach – Philippians 2:15; 1 Peter 2:11,12,15 • Who works righteousness – Matthew 7:21

  4. Who Is A Citizen Of Zion? • His works are good, God-approved works – Isaiah 60:21 • Who speaks truth in his heart • He is really what he professes to be • Sound at heart – Matthew 15:18; 2 Chronicles 12:14; Luke 8:15

  5. Who Is A Citizen Of Zion? • He Whose Words Are Restrained – Psalm 15:3 • Does not use his tongue to backbite or slander – Luke 6:45; James 3:1; 1:26; 1 Peter 3:8-10 • He does not take up a reproach against his friend

  6. Who Is A Citizen Of Zion? • He accepts Jesus’ new standard – Matthew 5:22 • He makes the best of everybody, and the worst of nobody • Speaks truth in his heart – Matthew 12:34-37

  7. Who Is A Citizen Of Zion? • He Whose Allegiance Is Clear-Cut- Psalm 15:4 • Despises a vile man – Psalm 119:53 • Does not associate with such – 1 Corinthians 15:33; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 • Honors those who fear the Lord

  8. Who Is A Citizen Of Zion? • He honors, loves, associates with & is a fearer of the Lord • Understands the importance of fearing the Lord – Proverbs 16:6 • Keeps his oath even when it hurts • His word is true and dependable – Matthew 5:33-37

  9. Who Is A Citizen Of Zion? • He Whose Dealings Are Honorable- Psalm 15:5a • Old Law forbade Jews from charging interest to their brethren – Exodus 22:25 • New Law surpasses this- Matthew 5:41,42 • Does not try to live as ease upon labors of others

  10. Who Is A Citizen Of Zion? • Doesn’t accept ill-gotten gains of a false bribe – Deuteronomy 16:19 • He Whose Hope Is Secure- Psalm 15:5b • Like Zion cannot be moved- Psalm 125:1 • With these traits we are secure citizens of Zion
