  2. About Black British Theatre The Black British Theatre Awards hosts an annual Outreach programme that connects young Black people with major actors, plays, and experiences. The programme assists Black children in developing their performance skills as well as leadership and creative responsibilities behind the scenes.

  3. British Library: Black British Theatre 1950–1979 In the 1950s, postwar migration from Africa and the Caribbean to the United Kingdom resulted in the establishment of Black British Theatre. Natasha Bonnelame introduces several of the period's most notable black playwrights, including Errol John and Wole Soyinka, as well as the situations in which their works were presented.
