How STAR PARTY works • ‘Star Party’ host introduces themselves and explains how it works, hands out the song selection lists, song slips and pens for completion (to older children) or assists the younger children in selecting the songs they wish to sing. • The host plays background dance music while queuing the requested songs. • The karaoke file of each song selected automatically displays a ‘video’ of the lyrics as the song plays. • For the younger children who don’t know all the words and can’t read, the vocal track is left in for them to sing along with. • If ‘Star Party’ with CD recording option is book then the host uses Goldwave to open, record and save each recording to be edited after the party. • Set up of Star Party gear typically takes approximately 45 mins • Most children’s parties last up to 3 hours • The parties can have between 10 – 35 children but usually not more than 20
