  1. Uzbekistan is a major stop on the Silk Road. It was once a part of the ancient Persian Empire and has been invaded by Alexander the Great, and Genghis Khan. From 14th Century Uzbekistan and whole central Asia was a part of King Amir Timur’s Empire (Tamerlane, Timurids Dynasty).  It has been a home for the famous traveller Marco Polo. It became part of Russia in the mid 19th century and became independent in 1991 .

  2. Destinations FERGANA The city of Fergana is one of the youngest cities in Uzbekistan. In Fergana, there is no ancient architecture or historical monuments, but nevertheless, the city is unique and picturesque in its own way. It is more modern and luxurious, like Tashkent, and is the place to visit if you are a fan of quality hotels and shopping. KOKAND Kokand city, located on the Silk Road, is one of the most ancient cities in Uzbekistan. The town was an important trade center on the Silk Road and its’ first written records date back to the 10th century. This is the place to visit in Uzbekistan if you are a fan of historical monuments and ancient architecture. BUKHARA Bukhara is a popular destination for tourists because it has so much to offer. The two best things to do there is visit beautiful and historical mosques and shop in colorful and busy bazaars.

  3. TERMEZ Termez city is located on the bank of the Amu Darya river and is, again, one of the most ancient cities in Central Asia. This city was subject to war in the early 1200s so you can see many forts, ancient battlegrounds, etc. . Termez is also famous for its ‘friendship bridge’ , the border bridge used to cross from Uzbekistan into Afghanistan. NUKUS Nukus city is the famous gateway into the fast-disappearing Aral Sea and home to the remarkable Savitsky Museum-one of the best collections of Soviet arts in the world. If you’re into ancient art, this is the place to visit. CHIMGAN Chimgan valley is the most popular ski resort in Uzbekistan. It is famous for its 3309m mountain, a definite summer and winter getaway. So if your hobby is skiing, hiking, etc. , this is a perfect vacation spot.
