  2. We are all missionaries!

  3. Educate children about the lives of their brothers and sisters in mission countries, so that they may appreciate and learn about other cultures, global solidarity, and the universal Church.

  4. How Do We Make a Difference? • Prayer World Mission Rosary: Yellow = the morning light of the East, for Asia; Red = the fire of faith that brought missionaries to the Americas; White = Europe, the seat of the Holy Father, shepherd of the world; Blue = the ocean surrounding the Islands of the Pacific; Green = forests and grasslands of Africa. • Personal Sacrifice • Financial Help - provides food, clothing, shelter, medical care and education

  5. The average person in the missions uses 1.6 gallons of water per day…

  6. More than 1 billion people do not have access to clean drinking water.

  7. The “kitchen…” Worldwide, 2 billion people do not have access to electricity.

  8. Lunch at school is the largest meal of the day for the students at this school in Haiti.

  9. Almost half of the people in the world live in severe poverty, living on less than $2 per day.

  10. In the Missions… • $1 keeps 20 children safe from TB in Bangladesh • $1.50 buys 2 blankets in Pakistan • $4 buys a week’s worth of bread for 10 children • $10 can feed and educate a child for 3 months!
