EM 241 Modem module • The EM 241 provides an international telephone line interfaceand supports sending numeric and text paging messages, aswell as SMS (Short Message Service) messages to cellularphones. This is useful for remote diagnostics and maintenance,machine control, alarm systems, and general communicationfunctions. • In addition to CPU-to-CPU communication via a telephone line,the EM 241 also supports Modbus RTU protocol, a protocolthat has been widely used for many years.

  14. 2. CP 243 - Ind. Ethernet module • CP 243-1 and CP243-1 IT communication processors are used to connect anS7-200 PLC to an Industrial Ethernet network.
