Why have they produced this site? Where can you learn more about this individual? What are the author’s credentials/qualifications?

  3. Evaluating Websites Also consider: Review committees do not exist for most websites Ask yourself: Who has evaluated the information on this site? Has the article been peer-reviewed? What type of site is it? .gov, .edu, .org, .com, .ca

  4. Evaluating Websites Also consider: Information may not be correct (Wikipedia) Ask yourself: Is the information, data or study backed by research, references and a bibliography? When was the site last updated? Is the site still under construction? Does the site provide links to other useful resources?

  5. Evaluating Websites Your critical thinking skills are essential! Ask yourself if the information is biased, and consider your own biases before shaping your opinions.
